Tab "Columns/Fields" - functionality up to version 2.6


 
The treatment of columns/fields, which are excluded of the connection settings, has changed since version 3.0. In older versions (up to version 2.6) it was possible to transfer selected columns/fields into non-selected columns/fields. In case a column/field was managed (selected in the checkbox), the data of this column/field was transferred to the other side, no matter if the column/field was selected on the other side or not. However, in case of deleting, it was only possible to delete selected columns/fields. Therefore, no write-protection of a column/field was guaranteed.
 
 
Since version 3.0 the logic has been changed. From now on, non selected columns/fields are read-only and can not be modified by GISconnector for Excel. Data is only transferred into columns/fields that are managed by GISconnector.
 
Next, the behavior of GISconnector before version 3.0 is explained:
