Tab "Columns/Fields"

The tab "Columns/fields" is the central dialogue of the GISconnector for Excel.

In order to use the functions of "Transfer selections and filters" it is not necessary that columns are activated or managed by the GISconnector for Excel.

If a column on one side is activated or managed by GISconnector for Excel, then this column represents a data source in the event of a data transfer; i.e., if, for example, the column "Dez_2001" is selected on the Excel side and data are subsequently transferred from Excel to ArcGIS, then the content of this column will be transferred from Excel to ArcGIS. Columns which are not selected will also not be transferred.

In the opposite direction of transfer, from ArcGIS to Excel, a column activated on the Excel side can also be the target of a columns deletion. You can read more about this in "Deleting rows and columns".
