Create a data connection in ArcGIS
In order to transfer data and send functions between an ArcGIS Feature Class and an Excel table a connection is needed.
The connection is created with a wizard. Optionally the Expert mode can be activated in the wizard for further settings.
A connection in ArcGIS can be created in two ways:
Following this way, data from ArcGIS is being transferred from ArcGIS to Excel and a connection is established.
In this case an Excel table has to be pre-existing in order to establish an connection.
