Create a data connection in Excel

To transfer data and send functions between an Excel table and an ArcGIS Feature Class/Table a connection will be needed.
The connection is created within a wizard. For further configuration the Expert mode can be activated.
 
 
A connection can be created in two ways:
 
1. Export Excel data to ArcGIS and create a connection
 
Following this way, data from Excel is being transferred to ArcGIS and a connection is established.
 
2. Connect Excel data to ArcGIS data
 
In this case Excel data is being connected to ArcGIS data from the Excel side.
